Cards on the table? Tekflo® is a UK hand dryer manufacturer so of course we think ours is best! That said, we want to help you decide what “best” means for you. So, what are the best value hand dryers UK wide?
In (almost) the words of Swiss Tony, choosing a hand dryer is a bit like choosing a new car… They all get you from A to B but how quickly, how economically, what it looks like and what it sounds like will all be factors in your final choice. Performance will also be a consideration, how many miles to the gallon, as well as comfort and functionality.
There are almost as many options of hand dryers as there are cars. So where do you start? Just as you would when choosing a vehicle, you look at what you need it for. Granted, all hand dryers dry hands, or at least they’re supposed to. But what if you’re on a tight budget and have to buy hundreds of them?
Best Value Hand Dryer For Price
The Junior Hand Dryer from Blue Dry is the Tata of the hand drying world. Offering unbeatable value at just £59.99, this compact hand drying solution is available from Screwfix and Washroom Hub. With an output of just 50 Hz, it is far from powerful and takes an average of 45 seconds to dry hands, but like the Tata, it gets you from A to B…
Best Value Hand Dryer For Power
The XLerator XL-C is the Focus RS of the hand drying world. Available from Restroom Direct and sporting rugged looks and a powerful 1500W motor, this beast goes from 0-dry in just 8 seconds. However, just as the Kia Xceed offers similar looks and performance for a third of the price, the rather less well-known Sagittarius Automatic Quick Dry is a virtual replica of the XL-C, but is priced at 60% cheaper at just £231.63, compared to £581.41.
Best Value Hand Dryer For Performance
It’s hard not to admire the superior design and performance of Dyson’s automatic dryers. Revolutionising the hand drying market, Dyson are the BMW of the hand drying world. With an emphasis on design, performance and innovative branding they are representative of the executive corporate world. However, don’t always be swayed by the power of the badge. The Dyson V Blade dryer is currently priced at anything from £550 to £800. By comparison, the Tekflo® Edge boasts similar performance and is only £229.
Best Value Hand Dryer For Efficiency
If Dyson is BMW then the HandyDryer Kangarillo 2 ECO is the Tesla. Offering superior economy in its design the Kangarillo automatically detects air temperature and adjusts its output accordingly. Like the Tesla a couple of years ago, it’s currently a well-kept secret but pretty soon, you won’t be able to move for them! Using as little as 0.6W of output and boasting up to 245 mph windspeed, at £164.99 +VAT, it may just be the most efficient hand dryer you’ve never heard of!
Best Value Hand Dryer For Design
We return to Dyson for this one, and here is where the comparison loses its way a little. For in designing the Airblade, a tap and dryer in one, Dyson’s range has achieved Aston Martin status. The Airblade is, without question, the most elegant hand dryer available but the price tag is prohibitive. Priced at £1520 it’s a lot of money for a glorified hair dryer but the gimmick will certainly appeal to some. But this is a list of Best Value. So, is there an alternative, affordable designer hand dryer?
The AirTap T1 is priced slightly cheaper at £916, and the ATC EcoTap is a lot more affordable at £565. However, the Tekflo® Fusion offers a similar design of basin-mounted hand dryer but without the dual water/air functionality. Priced at just £319 though, it is a significantly better value alternative, being £900 cheaper than the Dyson!
